South America to feed the world

Agricultural ministers promise to invest in food production technology.

The agricultural ministers of South America have signed a declaration of Commitment to further stimulate food production in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. Brazil’s president is said to have realised Brazils potential to feed the world, especially now that the highly active environmental minister has been replaced. Argentina has yet to sort out their domestic issues between the politicians and  farmers but are fundamentally set to be and remain major exporters. Chile’s potential as a global superpower in aquaculture and horticultural produce is already begining to be realised. Uruguay and Paraguay are fast on the track to develop into equally competitive exporters as their South American neighbours.
