Record exports from Brazil

Despite import bans of beef into the EU, a strong local currency versus the dollar and rapidly growing domestic consumption, Brazil hit export records for the month of March. Exports increased 13% from the same period in 2007. How will Brazilian exports compete with American exports which are also growing as the US dollar devaluation increases their competitivity? The Brazilian ministry of Agriculture is forecasting a bumper year.
